You are welcome to visit campus with family or by yourself! (And do come visit, it’s a great place to explore, either on your own or with others.)

Alright, so I’ve been thinking of how to put this up for a while and have concluded that the best way would be with a simple preface. Oberlin is the only college that I had the opportunity to do an overnight at with a friend of mine and as a result I am a bit more informed about some aspects of life as an Obie. Still, to keep things level with other reports I’ve given of other colleges, I am going to leave some specifics out, but if you want to know just message me and I’ll respond privately. Still, get comfy, this will be a long one.
Full account here. This is incredibly in depth and amazing. Thanks so much for sharing!
Love all of this. Hope you’re visiting some sweet classes today too!

This school has been my top choice for three years now and even though I’ve visited before (last spring), I’m really excited to go visit again. Even better, this time I’m going to meet the softball team and everything!
This is so incredibly great. Tumbl all of your adventures! Also, check back here tomorrow morning for a massive list of weekend events (it’s gonna knock your socks off how much is happening here over the next three days).
We don’t have a copy of the schedule yet, but from examining last year’s schedule (a PDF, mind you), you’ll see that the events are rather open-ended on Friday, with class visits, tours, and open houses starting at 9am through the deans reception at 4:30pm, then there are fun performances and concerts and such in the evening. On Sunday, there are a few events, including the president’s breakfast, a few worship services, and some afternoon activities around campus.
I hope this helps a bit in regards to travel plans, and we can post a list of the events once we know about them!

As long as your friend is over 18 and has a valid photo ID, yes. Have fun!

So I’m visiting Oberlin tomorrow, and I’m super excited because it’s one of the only colleges I found with a circus!
OCircus! So fabulous! Have a great visit!

Personally, I loved it. Very much of it was how I expected, even though I couldn’t fully appreciate the atmosphere of the college since it was summer and there weren’t too many people hanging around town.
Summer is nice and quiet, but you’re right, it’s no comparison to the hustle and bustle of the semester. We promise it’s super awesome, though :D
