I’m so glad you asked! Albus was named by Obies through an open name nomination then voting process (full story here). As you probably gathered, some of us are Harry Potter fanatics, so a name like Albus had to be a part of the mix (and ended up being the favored name — second only to Granola).

Find the Albino squirrel!
Oberlin College’s unofficial mascot is the albino (or white) squirrel, a creature that frequents Tappan Square, a green in the center of town.
We know it’s not supposed to be the first take-away from this comic, but that tail is so cool that we might actually want one, too.
I rotated this picture. This picture shows up in the normal orientation on my computer.
Every time I post it to the Internet, this happens.
So I’m going to say, “My school’s shirt is cool enough to break the Internet.”
What a bizarre technological phenomenon. We approve.
