Teengirl Fantasy are an outfit made up of two Oberlin dudes who are currently studying in Amsterdam. They sound like what getting stoned with a pretty girl on some rocky outcrop overlooking a city at night feels like. If you are a girl, well, you can substitute girl for boy and getting stoned with delightful conversation or something else that you might think is awesome. They got an article out on Pitchfork and a new record on the way from True Panther / Merok ( You can get their 7” through Merok currently!). They also have an Angelfire page, it’s ridiculous.

Teengirl Fantasy (Logan Takahashi and Nick Weiss) is amazing. I’m really happy that they’re getting credit they deserve. Also, the Pitchfork interview is hilarious! Props, deletetv.

from Pitchfork::

Pitchfork: You guys are studying abroad in Amsterdam right now. How is that different from where you normally go to school in Ohio?

Nick Weiss: [laughs] We’re living right in the middle of the red light district, so there are a lot more leather shops.

Logan Takahashi: It’s located close to the biggest train station, so it’s really accessible for people to get here and immediately have sex with prostitutes, I guess.

Pitchfork: Did you guys originally meet in college?

LT: Yeah, we met during orientation two years ago when we had to do this mandatory discussion about consensual sex. We started playing music together a week later.
