Open publication - Free publishing - More awesome
Sweet! It’s a whole issue, too. (Take an opportunity to flip through; it looks great and is filled with amazing student work.)
Spiral, Oberlin’s genre fiction magazine, has just extended its deadline by a couple of days! We publish sci-fi, fantasy, horror, noir, Westerns, erotica, mystery—basically anything you can think of. In the past, we’ve printed comics, art, photography, novel-length serialized pieces, short stories, and poetry.
You can check out past issues here, and send any questions, comments, or submissions to spiral@oberlin.edu!
This month’s cover article in Popular Science is all about the no-pulse articifial heart co-designed by Billy Cohn ‘82. (Editor’s note: this article is comprehensive, but well worth the read.)
In this issue: well-dressed men, penguins (not to be confused with the well-dressed men), a hurrah to our innovative teaching styles, a glossy Oberlin book, favorite pieces in the Allen Memorial Art Museum, and a hat-tip to OCircus. All this, and much much more!
We encourage you to comment on any of the featured articles on the website.
