Concert alert!
I’m so glad you asked! Albus was named by Obies through an open name nomination then voting process (full story here). As you probably gathered, some of us are Harry Potter fanatics, so a name like Albus had to be a part of the mix (and ended up being the favored name — second only to Granola).

90% of my friends from other schools are convinced I’m actually attending Hogwarts.
Found this on the water fountain outside the classics department earlier this evening when I handed in my Latin final exam.

ANNOUNCING!
The Oberlin Harry Potter Alliance is hosting: A NIGHT OF HORRID FAN FICTION.
The Oberlin HPA is hosting a reading of everyone’s favorite really bad fan fiction!
Come one, come all, and hear/read some of really awful fan fiction with some friends!
A sampling of those being featured: Sherlobster, Drapple, Merlin Goes to Princess School, and the ever-infamous My Immortal!
If you’d like to offer up your own options for the reading (or read yourself!) contact me! Just keep in mind that all submissions must be kept under three pages.
Warning: We might frighten some of the usual patrons of the cafe.
- Where?: Slow Train Cafe
- When?: 8pm, Wednesday, May 2nd
- Why?: Because we can.
