From the First Year Experience Area Coordinator:
There are at least 200 applications for just under 150 spots each year. So, if you have a quality application that is in by the deadline you have a great chance!

SO SOON. Can’t wait!
Your dad doesn’t need to worry. There will be a microwave in the kitchen of your dorm, which is good because you can’t actually have one in your room. You can have a minifridge, though it’s not necessary because there will be a communal fridge in your dorm’s kitchen as well.
You can rent a microfridge from the college through their rental program, which is a small fridge/freezer/microwave combo that is available in some of the dorms. Read more on the dorms that are capable of these units, pricing, and more on the residential education website.
Information about campus dining service hours can be found on the residential education website. The latest you can get food in a dining hall is 11:30pm.

All the beds in Oberlin dorm rooms are twin XLs (36” by 80”). There are a limited number of full beds in some select village housing rooms as well.

Correct. It’s located in the first floor kitchen. And sometimes the Oberlin Slow Food Chapter visits and makes cookies! (So, if you can’t find it, you can follow your nose ;D)

There is a full kitchen on the first floor of Kahn and kitchenettes (fridge/microwave/sink) in each wing. For all dormitory kitchens, you must bring (and clean and store) your own kitchen supplies.
