Yes, the admissions office aims for regular decision applicants to have their letters in hand by April 1st. The “letters are in the mail!” day have been the following days in the past four years: March 29th, March 25th, March 26th, and March 23rd.

If an accepted student chooses to visit during one of our admitted students weekends in April for All Roads Lead to Oberlin, there are a series of scheduled programs to attend: informations sessions about campus life and academics for both parents and students, a majors fair, and more. You’ll have the opportunity to go on a campus tour, stay overnight in a dorm, attend a class or two, and generally get a feel for campus and our offerings.
You didn’t receive a good feel for the aforementioned things on your initial visit to Oberlin during your audition and feel that it would be valuable to your decision-making process, you may want to consider visiting this April. By no means is a trip to Oberlin required in April, but we find that it’s a good opportunity for accepted students to explore campus if they would like to do so.
