lady-tangerine asked: Hello! I'm a senior in high school this year and am applying early decision to Oberlin. Super, super pumped. Any tips for interviews? (PS post/30386566929/fridges-in-the-mornin-fridges-in-the-evenin This is a friend of mine! He's incredibly excited to be starting at Oberlin.)

Hello! Your friend is awesome for posing for us! And you’re awesome for applying ED! Yay!

  • The biggest interview tip is to just be yourself. It’s an opportunity for you to express your interest and enthusiasm in person, and make your application even more alive and full of your spirit.
  • Ask questions, both things that you’re wondering about Oberlin and if you’re speaking with someone who attended Oberlin (so, a current student or an alum), ask them about what they enjoy about Oberlin. The thing that’s most spectacular about any place, — especially Oberlin — is the people this place nurtures. Take the time you have with an Obie.
  • Be yourself. I say it twice cause it’s that important.

P.S. Anon person who also recently asked us about college interviews, this post goes for you, too, since we don’t want to repeat ourselves too too much. We don’t know much about the interview process elsewhere, but we’ve told you all we can for Oberlin interviews. Good luck to you too!
