Editor’s Welcome

Hello! Welcome to the Oberlin College Archives Students Blog. My name is James Scott and I’ll be running this site. A little about myself - I’m a second year Oberlin College student, an intended Politics and Creative Writing double-major, and the current Assistant Webmaster here at the Oberlin College Archives.

This Tumblr blog, starting now, will serve as a place for the students that work here to talk about what they’re doing, what they’re learning, and their discoveries here in the Oberlin College Archives. Every day that we come to work, we enter an Oberlin time machine of sorts as we sift through papers, photographs, and objects from Oberlin’s past. We want to share these experiences with the Oberlin community and beyond!

At first the students here will be posting about their experiences and, in time, we’ll hopefully open it up to other students who visit the Archives to do research work.
